Exit the App

This guide explains how to close the Paynt POS app and when you might need to do so.

When to Exit the App​

The closing/exiting button is part of the standard terminal software, but you will not need it for your daily operations.

It might be used in certain cases by your terminal provider for remote configurations if such a need ever arises.

Exiting the App​

  1. Access the Main menu by pressing on the menu icon in the left upper corner.
  2. Scroll to find the Exit or Close option.
  3. Confirm that you want to exit the app.

Restarting the App​

If the Paynt POS app has been manually closed or exited:

  1. Locate the Paynt POS app icon on the terminal.
  2. Tap the icon to launch the app.
  3. Wait for the app to fully load.

Note: After turning on the terminal, the Paynt POS app will normally start and open automatically.

Remote Updates​

When updates are made to terminals via TMS (Terminal Management System):

  • The terminal may restart automatically to apply updates.
  • App updates are pushed remotely by the terminal provider.
  • No action is typically required from the merchant.
