Process a Pre-Authorization

A pre-authorization reserves funds on the customer's card without capturing them. Used in hospitality, car rentals, and similar scenarios.

1. On the amount entry screen, select Pre-authorization from the dropdown.
2. Enter the amount to reserve and press OK.
3. Customer presents the card (chip, contactless, or swipe).
4. Wait for authorization.
5. Transaction receipt prints automatically.
